Currently in progress...

I have made several pairs of pajama pants out of Kambreah's old receiving blankets.  I have several more to go!  Also in the process of making her a little apron to go with her kitchen.  Since I'm not using a pattern persay... it's not turning out exactly the way I had hoped but it'll be just fine, nevertheless.

Here is a pic of Kambreah in her bedhead glory after waking up in a new pair of jammie pants that I made from a receiving blanket.

Swagbucks!

I've been searching with swagbucks for about a week or so now.  Not consistently, but I wanted to make sure it was legit before doing it... so far so good!  You search through this website and randomly earn "swagbucks"... when you get so many stacked up, you can redeem them for items like gift cards and other stuff.  I figure if I get enough I can just get some Amazon gift cards and redeem myself something nifty. ;)

Go and sign up!  It's free and from what I have been reading very legit.  Make it your default search engine and rack up some points for yourself. :)  Just click on the "Search. Earn. Redeem." button below to take you there.

I'd really love to get my hands on one of these things.

Win a Kindle?

So I've done some searching and reading about the Kindle.  I think I may really like one.  However, the price tag isn't so great on the pocketbook.  I've been searching around online and found a contest from Fangs, Fur, and Fey and the prize is a Kindle, among some other nice prizes like gift cards.

To check it out, go here.... http://community.livejournal.com/fangs_fur_fey/503269.html

But hurry because it ends tomorrow.

Tile Coasters & Hot Plates

Check one thing off my to do list!  I finished making the tile hot plates and coasters!  Yahoo!  :)  I think they turned out really well.  I also made some peppermint bath salts and a brown sugar scrub.  Although I'm not quite done with those yet... will post when I complete them.

The first of many!

I made a carrot!  I'm working on a bunch of grapes right now and really want to make a hanging organizer to hang in the kitchen for all the stuff that finds its way to the kitchen table.  Stuff we need to keep but have no where to stick.  Wish me luck!  I *may* try and tackle that one tonight.  If not, probably next weekend.  I will make sure to post pics when I get it complete.

Anyway, here's the carrot.

In Progress...

I am working on several projects at the moment.  I will post pics when I have completed at least one of them!  I plan on making most of the Christmas gifts I give out (including some for Kambreah) so here's what I have planned:

  • Bean Bags (for Kambreah... one for each letter of the alpahabet)
  • Felt Food (for Kambreah's Kitchen)
  • Bath Salts
  • Sugar Scrubs
  • Tile Hotplates
  • Hot Cocoa Mixes
  • Possibly Bread or Cookie Mixes or something else similar
  • Candles (still thinking about this one)
  • Whatever else I think up between now and then.
I have begun working on the bean bags.  I have all the squares cut out and have purchased the alphabet stamps and beans.  The trouble will be not giving them to her before Christmas.  I think I may just wrap them and put them in the closet when they're done.  By then, I'll be surprised when she opens them too. LOL

I'm going to make her some clothes too... pajama pants out of her receiving blankets, a dress or two out of pillowcases, a dress or outfit out of some REALLY cute fabric I found... but I need something else for her for Christmas.  I seriously doubt I can find anything to make for Dom so most of my Christmas budget will go to him.  I may try and make my mom another comforter since the one I made for her like 6 years ago is finally falling apart.  But I'm not sure.  Don't know how I'd manage to get it done in time with her not seeing it (since she lives with me).  As far as Jacob...who knows.  I don't know anything I could make him either.  Any ideas are welcome!
